Peter O’Neill passed NCD Governor and Social Democratic Party Leader, Powes Parkop, his best wishes for the Governor’s birthday tonight.
“You are a Brother, and we have known each other for well over 30 years,” Mr. O’Neill said.
“I am here to give you best wishes for many years to come.
“We have come a long way from our university days when we were marching down the streets of Waigani and protesting against the governments of the day.
“You are a tremendous asset to our people of NCD and Papua New Guinea.
“You have done great wonders for our country and our city, and our city is a better place because you are our leader here in NCD.
“Keep up the good work. When we were in Government we tried our very best to support you.
“This city is not only for the residents but is for the country.
It is our Nation’s capital and deserves the attention of any Government.”
