Peter O'Neill: IMF Deposits 470 Million Kina into Marape’s War Chest

 Good day to you all

I made the following statement this afternoon:
IMF Deposits 470 Million Kina into Marape’s War Chest
In a carefully timed disbursement, the IMF announced today it had deposited K470 million into the PNG Budget for Marape to use for “inclusive growth”.
“The Budget process has been proven to be corrupted and reeks of rotten transfers. Reverse modern-day Robin
Hood - taking from the poor to give to the rich.”
“Do we need more proof than the fact that 60% of the year has passed yet less than 30% of the money needed
to buy medicines for our health clinics and hospitals has been warranted leaving our people with a dire shortage of life saving medicines.”
“The rules do not apply equally with PM & NEC Department receiving more than double their allocation.”
“The Auditor General has not audited key government departments and agencies since 2018, but the IMF can
say they are happy to dump nearly half a billion Kina straight into the hands of Marape?”
“The timing is suspicious. Just two weeks out from a Vote of No Confidence, as MPs are leaving the sinking ship captained by the hapless Marape, the IMF decides now is exactly the right moment to deposit K470 million into the account of PNG.”
“How can the IMF guarantee the people of Papua New Guinea that this money is going to go to the most needed areas of our Budget – health, education, universities, schools and alike?”
“Last night in a discussion with the people of Papua New Guinea, I committed to removing the IMF from Papua
New Guinea if the Opposition were to return to government.”
“And today the IMF chooses to deposit K470 million in cash straight into the open arms of James Marape.”
“To make matters worse, the IMF is behind the devaluation of the Kina making us beggars in our own country,
contributing substantially to the crippling cost of living crisis underway.”
“The IMF are openly aligned to the Marape political agenda and destroy democracy in Papua New Guinea.”
“For over 20 years Sir Michael Somare and myself kept the IMF out of PNG.
Sadly, under Marape, the IMF have not just got us cornered, they have set up a fulltime office in Port Moresby to keep a very close watch on their planned program of destruction.”
“Shame on you IMF.
Shame on you James Marape.”
